Fighter Movie Review: Once Again, Siddharth Anand and Hrithik Roshan Spared the Charm in Theater
The perfect combination of director (Siddharth Anand) and actor (Hrithik Roshan) did it again, just like War and Bang Bang Fighter is going to steal your heart except for one thing: dialogue, not in the whole movie in the climax. The dialogue at the climax is sucky. Without those dialogues, this movie might have been better. This movie is too good without the climax dialogue.
There are too many things I wanted to tell you about, so without wasting time, let’s jump up with the story of the fighter.
Fighter Story
The government started a new division for quick response. In that team, we see Shamsher Pathania, a.k.a. Patty, played by Hrithik Roshan; Minni Rathore, a.k.a. Minni, played by Deepika Padukone; Sartaj Gill, played by Karan Singh Grover; and a few others. The leader of the team is Rakesh Jai Singh, a.k.a. Rocky, played by Anil Kapoor, who is their commanding officer. The whole first part is focused on creating chemistry between teams just because all the team members are the best in their department and come from India. They work first as a team. Rakesh Jai Singh gives the order to make a bond because, in the war, the only thing that saves you is your bond.
During that Pulwama attack, so many soldiers died. Now the team needed to do a quick response and do an air strike on Pakistan. You might think this movie is based on real life. The answer is no. At the start of the Fighter movie, we see the declaimer who tells us this movie is inspired by real-life events and not based on them. Now, what happens next? If you want to know, you will find out only after the movie.
Copy of Top Gun or not?
At the time of the teaser and till now, you might think that this movie is a copy of Top Gun, and Bollywood can’t do anything except copy the best movies from Bollywood. That’s not true. This movie told us that if anyone can do this kind of aerial action in Bollywood, that guy is Siddharth Anand. In the Fighter movie, he proved that with just 250 CR, we can catch up with Hollywood. It’s amazing. Last year I saw Top Gun, and I don’t say the aerial action is as good as this movie, but with this budget and resources, they delivered the perfect action.
The Fighter Movie is not a copy of Top Gun; that’s a fact. Yes, there are too many scenes that look like those in Fighter and Top Gun. This movie’s aerial action is a salp for haters. Patriotism is at the point where you can feel it in the streets.
What’s Wrong?
Dialogue is the weakest point of the movie. Just think about it. The whole movie goes on to the point and builds the villain, and in the end, the conversation between the villain and hostages ruins the whole mood. I don’t want to tell you more about dialogue, but they are worse, just like Gadar 2 and what we see in the Fighter Trailer.
One more thing that might go wrong is Siddharth Anand’s trying to do so many things, like the backstory of all the characters and creating the chemistry between them, that the whole thing feels like the length of the movie is 2 hours, 40 minutes. That might be a problem for some of you. At some point, I felt that.
What Makes Fighter the Great Movie
As I told you before, this movie sells itself as an aerial action movie, and it doesn’t disappoint us. While this film may not be replete with aerial action, every moment of it is breathtaking. The aerial action is so good that you even forgot to blink at that moment.
The performances of all the actors are very good. You might not feel the connection between Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, but you can feel the connection between Siddharth Anand and Hrithik Roshan. They both are too good. especially Hrithik Roshan man; he is something every time you can feel his pain without saying a word. Additionally, one last thing: Anil Kapoor. This individual could potentially destroy the careers of novices if not immediately stopped. He is too good. If Hrithik Roshan is not in this, Anil Kapoor will overshadow any other actor.
The BGM of the Fighter Movie is too good and blends perfectly with the situation. BGM gives life to the scene.
Final Verdict
If you want to feel patriotic on Republic Day, just go watch the movie. This movie is very good. It’s not as good as war. Also, the climax reminds you of the Patahan. I became a big fan of Anil Kapoor, Siddharth Anand, and Hrithik Roshan after this. If you want to see the basic story you can see the trailer.
