Joker 2 Trailer Review and Breakdown: Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga Ready to Set the Screen on Fire
Cinema Con 2024, and it’s time to announce the movies of Warner Bros. So, they just dropped the Joker 2 trailer, and it’s far more amazing than I thought. We all know Joaquin Phoenix is going to bang again as a joker. Immediately after viewing the trailer, I wondered whether Lady Gaga was a Harley Quinn fan. She is too good. Music, cinematography, direction, and acting all just look too perfect. But I have so many questions about the story and too many things. This trailer is hiding so many things.
The first question that pops up is, “Is This All True, or Do We Just See in the Joker’s Mind?”

There’s no doubt that this movie is going to break all records. Also, I just wanted to praise Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga; they both just look too good, and the chemistry between them is something else. After seeing this trailer, I just went and watched the Joker 2019 trailer, and both just looked alike. Also, in some parts of the Joker 2 trailer, I notice some references to the first part. Also, they just changed the story and connection between the Joker and Harley Quinn’s. I’ll tell you more about it in the breakdown section. There is one more thing that I noticed: this trailer is more colorful than the last part, and I know the reason behind it because now that Arthur Fleck (Joker) has his love interest, there is someone who loves and understands him.
There is nothing much in the Joker 2 trailer that needs to be broken down, but yes, there are so many things that catch my interest. Also, one more thing about this movie is going to be musical fantasia. Yes, it’s kind of musical. That’s why you see Joaquín Phoenix and Lady Gaga dancing and singing. If you already watched the trailer, you might be interested in the song that plays in the background. The song is “What the World Needs.” I just love this song in the Joker 2 trailer.
Trailer Breakdown
The trailer opens in Arkham Asylum. We see Joaquin Phoenix sit, and a guard comes and asks him to tell jokes. Then we see that Lady Gaga is also in Arkham Asylum. Now, I told you that they changed the relationship between them. Thus, the comic Harley Quinn originally was the psychiatrist of the Joker, but she was impressed with the persanity of the joker and fell in love. However, in the Joker 2 trailer, we see that she is also a patient in the Arkham Asylum. Now the question is whether she used to be in there, or if, after the first part, she impressed the Joker and came there to rescue him. Next, we see that she tells him to go out.
Between all these things, we see too much chaos, but there is some scene that convinces me that all these things are happening in his mind. Lady Gaga, like Harley Quinn, never existed. There is the scene when Lay Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix are dancing, and just behind Abulecses are comethings and so many choices there, and just next scene we see Joker in the truck with Hendcluff. Also, just out of nowhere, they just changed some shots. I think I noted, “This movie will play with your mind,” just like in the first part.

The film boasts a talented cast, including Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as the Joker, Zazie Beetz, Jacob Lofland, and Catherine Keener. With a budget of 20 crores USD, distributed by Warner Bros., you might think there is so much time in real life why they dropped the Joker 2 trailer now because today Warner Bros. hosted the cinemacon. It’s pretty stagnant until it backfires. One more thing I wanted to mention is that The Cinematograper by Lawrence Sher and music by Hildur Guðnadóttir add depth and atmosphere to the narrative, as before. The background track is ‘What the World Needs,’
Last, the meaning of the movie name Joker: Folie à Deux is The phrase “Joker Folie à Deux” in the movie refers to a mental illness in which two intimately connected people experience a shared psychosis that causes them to lose the distinction between their real and imagined selves. As the characters negotiate their entwined perceptions and experiences, this phenomenon adds a level of complexity to the story and creates surprising turns and revelations along the way.
This is the perfect trailer that creates the hyoe of the movie perfectly, and the best part of the Joker 2 trailer is that this trailer, only tells you that this movie might be more crazy than you think.
