Naruto Live-Action: Destin Daniel Cretton, Masashi Kishimoto, and Lionsgate: Can They Do or Not?

As an anime fan, I know that whenever I hear about a live-action, I do not feel good about it. But recently, Netflix, with Eiichiro Oda, made the first-ever successful live-action of One Piece, and it’s too good. that live-action is loved by all anime or non-anime fans. After One Piece, it’s time for Naruto Live-Action, but Destin Daniel Cretton, Masashi Kishimoto, and Lionsgate: Can they do it or not? Are they going to be made? If yes, will it be successful like One Piece? There are so many things they change in live action. Let’s jump on the Naruto Live-Action.

Is Naruto live-action happening?

Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, and Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed movies like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) with Lionsgate, confirm that they are going to work on Naruto Live-Action. Just like Eiichiro Oda is officially working on the live-action of One Piece, Masashi Kishimoto is also joining the team of Naruto Live-Action. Not just the director of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), Destin Daniel Cretton is also joining the team as director and writer of Naruto Live-Action. This live-action is going to be under Lionsgate.

Masashi Kishimoto, on X (formally known as Twiteer), “When I heard of Destin’s attachment, it happened to be right after watching a blockbuster action film of his (Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, 2021), and I thought he would be the perfect director for Naruto Live-Action!” Also In a statement, Destin Daniel Cretton stated, “Meeting Kishimoto-san in Tokyo and hearing his expansive vision for his creation was a true honor.” He went on, “We can’t wait to work together to bring Naruto to the big screen.”

My Thoughts on This

I wanted to give the chance to Naruto Live-Action. Due to my profound affection for Naruto, I have viewed the entire anime series three times. After seeing the live-action of One Piece, I have high hopes for live-action. But still, recently, the live-action of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I still have the fear in my mind. After watching One Piece, I say one thing to Destin. Daniel Cretton, Masashi Kishimoto, and Lionsgate don’t try to keep things as they are. It’s almost impossible to create the same portrait as anime in live-action. Above that, put the effort into the cast. If you guys see the live-action of One Piece, the whole cast is expected to play those roles, especially Luffy. Let’s hope best for Naruto Live-Action.
