After “Dangal,” Suhani Bhatnagar takes a break from his acting career to focus on his studies. This news is hurtful because she is just 19.
What happened to Suhani Bhatnagar?
Suhani Bhatnagar suffers from dermatomyositis. This Friday, Amir Khan Production and the family of Suhani Bhatnagar confirmed her death. Also, his father gave details to the media about what exactly happened to her. In the conversation between the media and Suhani’s father, he said that two months ago, she had swelling on her hand, and they just ignored it. But sometimes she experiences swelling in her whole body. The sad part about that is that no doctor was able to identify his illness.
Then, around the 5th or maybe 6th of February, Suhani Bhatnagar was hospitalized at AMIS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) in Delhi. During the test, the doctor finds out the disease that causes everything, and that is dermatomyositis. A rare autoimmune disease. Steroids are the only treatment for this disease. Her immune system was compromised as a result of the steroids.
This disease takes too much time to cure, but just because of a poor immune system, her lungs weaken, resulting in fluid buildup and making breathing difficult. Suhani Bhatnagar died on the evening of February 16.

Aamir Khan’s production house confirmed the news via a note that read, “We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away. We express our heartfelt condolences to her mother, Poojaji, and the entire family. Such a talented young girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani.”
After that, her mother, Poojaji, told her about her childhood, acting career, and studies. She said that Suhani has been the chosen one since her childhood because she is camera-friendly, and she was blessed that she was chosen from 25,000 child artists in “Dangal.” Also, she is in her second year of mass communication and journalism.
