Dunki Review: Another Heart-touching Movie By Rajkumar Hirani

Dunki Review: Another Heart-touching Movie By Rajkumar Hirani

At the start of Dunki Review, I wanted to tell you that it is Rajkumar Hirani’s movie, so you won’t see action, high BGM, or hero entries like Jawan or Pathan. I need to tell you this because the last two Shahrukh Khan movies are action-packed. Also, don’t forget the latest hit, “Animal.” All movies have things like super-action sequences and energetic BGM. All you get is laughter and emotional scenes that make you cry.

If someone tells me to describe it in one word, the word is “Old School Real Bollywood.” Dunki reminds me of old Rajkumar Hirani’s movies like Munna Bhai MBBS. If you can connect with me, you know that movies like Munna Bhai are done great without any bad or vulgar jokes, not much action, and no intimate scenes. Still, sometimes I play some scenes from those kinds of movies. Dunki falls into this kind of category. My big thanks to the director, Rajkumar Hirani, for making this kind of refreshing movie.

Dunki is a pure movie that represents real Indian problems, like why do we go and live outside of India? Is it necessary, or do we just go with society? What does our family need most? Us or money? You can feel the pain of Vicky Kaushal’s character, “Sukhi.” You can feel Hardy’s love, efforts, and heartbreak. At some point, when I see old Shahrukh Khan, it reminds me of “Veer Zara.” That’s amazing.

I tell you one thing: if in your life you plan to settle in London, America, or any other country, this movie will make you cry.

The First Half of Dunki Without Any Spoilers

Real Stars of Dunki Movie

This movie is based on the Laltu village base in Pnajab, India. In Laltu, if you go out of India, you earn everyone’s respect. So, our team Mannu played by Taapsee Pannu, Buggu played by Vikram Kochhar, and Bali played by Anil Grover want to go to London, and our main character Hardy played by Shahrukh Khan helps them to go. First, they tried to join the IELTS class under Gulati, played by Boman Irani. but learning English was as difficult for him as finding fault in the Dunki movie. It’s almost impossible for them.

During the classes, they meet Sukhi, played by Vicky Kaushal, who also wants to go to London. But, as I told you before, they are not capable of learning English. So, they all failed, and something bad happened before the interval, and that second act by Vicky Kaushal is mind-blowing. This guy is too good. With his stammering and inability to speak in pain, you can feel his pain. That scene is enough to make you cry.

The whole theater went silent. Consider how effective that scene was; it moved nearly everyone to tears, and nobody could discuss it.

The Second Half of Dunki Without Any Spoilers

Now, the journey starts to go to London, or, I say, Dunki. So, Dunki is the word that describes the people who try to cross country borders illegally. Now, with everyone else, Hardy starts the journey to London. I won’t tell you about it in detail, but this journey was good in some places, but it’s under-optimized. This journey tells you how dangerous cross-border illegality is. Also, after reaching London, they realize this is not what they want. This whole sequence is amazing.

The ending of Dunki reminds me of the ending of Munna Bhai MBBS, with different feelings. Rajkumar Hirani I must say you are a real genius. The ending delivered the style and impact of Rajkumar Hirani.

Acting of Cast

In this Dunki review, I only talk about Rajkumar Hirani, but what about others? Here is the thing: the whole team did a great job. The actors are amazing, and yes, I need to mention that “Sonu Nigam” has the power to turn dull sequences into amazing shots. Shahrukh Khan, as Hardy reminds me of “Raj” from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The one who stole the spotlight is “Vicky Kaushal.” First in Sam Bahadur and now in Dunki, this guy will have the capability to become the next-generation superstar. Taapsee Pannu, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, and Boman Irani did a great job. But I wanted to see Boman more, just like other movies by Rajkumar Hirani.

Conclusion

I don’t recall when I showed the movie that I wanted to watch with my family, and I know they all loved it. If you have plans to watch this movie with your family, this is the best idea to spend Christmas with them. It’s a real family entertainer. That’s it. I don’t want to tell you more. Dunki is just too amazing.
