Indian Police Force Review: Rohit Shetty, Sidharth Malhotra, and Action

Indian Police Force Review: Rohit Shetty, Sidharth Malhotra, and Action

Rohit Shetty’s debut OTT web series, The Indian Police Force, is now live on Amazon Prime. There are only three things: Rohit Shetty, Sidharth Malhotra, and action, except that there is nothing special in this series and nothing new. Yes, it’s as disappointing as Rohit Shetty’s work. Rohit Shetty has a different class and style in movie-making every time I see it; it almost works for me somehow. Car exploration, gun action, and hand-to-hand fights all seem good. but sometimes it feels like he is only good in action and nothing else.

After watching the trailer, I know what’s coming and what kind of series it will be. The Indian Police Force will be worse than I thought. The only things that save this series are the acting of Sidharth Malhotra and the action. Indian Police Force is not bad like the circus, but the choices made in cinematography, casting, and also the villain are too bad in this movie. This series has seven episodes, almost 30 to 35 minutes, except the 2nd and 4th, which both have a runtime of 45 minutes. almost take two to three hours to finish it. but it’s felt too long.

Indian Police Force Story

The Indian Police Force story revolves around the Delhi police, especially the special force responsible for stopping terrorists from planting bombs. The team has Sidharth Malhotra, Kabir Malik, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi. The story is simple, but they don’t take a chance to create something new. They market it as a thriller series, but nothing is thrilling about it. Also, the acting of the villain is too boring; even Arjun Kapoor is a better actor than him. Seriously, I tried watching the Indian Police Force; it’s not fun until action comes.

Rohit Shetty is good at it. In the whole series, whenever you see the action, you just tell yourself it’s too good in every way. the perfect police action in Rohit Shetty’s style. I already told you that the only things that save this series are Sidharth Malhotra and action. I don’t want to tell you about the story, so I keep it short and sweet. If you are the guy who wants to watch a series without thinking, I will tell you about the negatives and the positives.

Negative

  • Acting by Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi feels like overacting. especially Shilpa, who acted in Indian TV dramas.
  • Story and plot Nothing is interesting about the story of the Indian Police Force; there is nothing new about it.
  • The villain is the worst part of this series, just because of the expressionless villain with a backstory. In the first episode, when he appears, time shows him, and that’s it, but after his backstory in the third, or maybe in the fourth, I do not remember. It feels like I am watching an Indian TV drama show.
  • The last thing that zones out after that is that I just watch it without using my mind. In the second episode, they show the four places where bombs are blasted, and in between the fire, our special forces take entry with sunglasses, and they don’t show any consequences; they just say 15 days later. What is this, and why are you choosing it?
  • And yes, some other things, like, at some point, VFX and CGI, are noticeable. That’s it. If I go into more detail, there are so many things that I need to tell you, but that’s enough. Now we go to the positives.

Positives of the Indian Police Force

  • The action is too good. I loved it. It’s not like Sooryavanshi, but it’s good enough to save this series; otherwise, the Indian Police Force would become even worse.
  • Yes, the special mention goes to Sidharth Malhotra; he is too good; he carries the acting department on his soldier without him.

Final Verdict

The Indian Police Force is a below-average series. You only love the series if you love the cinema of Rohit Shetty and Sidharth Malhotra. This statement might not be what you like, but it’s true. Rohit Shetty’s OTT debut is not that good, yes, but it’s better than Circus.
