Invincible Season 2 Episode 5 Recap & Review: It’s Back in Action

Finally, the second part of Invincible Season 2, Episode 5, is here. I just have one question for Maker about why they don’t hold back. They just don’t hesitate to kill any character. You all know that the first part of Invincible Season 2 will air in November 2023, and like in midseason episode 4, they just dropped the news of the second part of it in March 2024. But after seeing the episode, I say it’s worth it. But it’s kind of too brutal and amazing at the same time. Let’s get started on the recap of Invincible Season 2, Part 1. then we go for Invincible Season 2, Episode 5.

Invincible Season 2 Part 1 Recap

In the first part, we see the Omni Man. He is on another planet, and he will become the king of that planet. He is married and also has one child. Now, he knew that Viltrumites were going to come to catch and kill him, so he needed the help of Mark (Invincible). Then they both fought with some Viltrumites, and that fight was too good and amazing. That episode is proof that Omni Man is just weak against some of them. Also, there are many things, like Allen fighting with some Viltrumites, and they just kill him. After that, the leader of Allen’s planet, Thaedus, turns off the machines that keep him alive. One more thing: Lizard League is going to be wild now. In Invincible Season 2, Episode 5, we see more things about him.

Some other things, like Martian, are going to attack Earth; that guy who transports in the multiverse is going to take revenge on Invincible. Episode 5 or Part 2

Invincible Season 2, Episode 5, is going to be 45 minutes long. It’s starting with Mark (Invincible) being in Thraxan. fully injured, and then some Thraxans recognize him, and then he is going to help rebuild the planet. time passes, and they almost become stable after it. Now, it’s time to go home for Mark (Invincible). His stepmom asked for a favor and told him to take his brother with him. In between, we see that on earth, the new Guardian of the Globe is fighting with someone. Now, he went for earth, then met with his mother and told her everything about what happened at Thraxan. Somehow, he convinces his mother to take care of the child.

We’re finally going to know what’s wrong with Donald after getting Betan from the Omni Man and how he’s alive. So, he asks Cecil to tell him the truth about how he is alive and why he doesn’t remember that incident. Cecil showed him some kind of research lab; they called it the “White Room,” where they transferred Donlad’s mind into a robot.

Next, Mark is going to meet his friend and girlfriend. where Cecil comes to visit and asks about where he is till now, and yes, one more thing in Invincible Season 2 Episode 4: when he goes to Thraxan till now, the two-month mark is out of the space for two months. and Cecil also knows about the kid.

Craziness in Invincible Season 2 Episode 5

Next, we see that the Guardian of the Globe and Cecil discovered that Martians were coming to attack Earth. They also discover that Shapesmith is a Martian. In season 1, when Mark rescues an astronaut from Mars, Shapesmith switches places with one of them. Now, he is in control of those sticky things that are coming to earth. They make two pairs to go and one that stands on earth. The Immortal, Rudy, Monster Girl, Shapesmith, and Black Samson go to space to stop them, and Rex, Multi-Paul, and Shrinking Rae stay on earth.

But for safety, they are going to get back Eve and Mark (Invincible). Rex is coming to convince Eve, and Eve is starting to live a normal life with her dad and mom. Cecil is going to take Mark (Invincible), and now they are ready to take off. Now that it’s started, I never imagined that they were going to do this.

Let’s start with the first thing in Invincible Season 2 Episode 5: The Immortal, Rudy, Monster Girl, Shapesmith, Black Samson, Mark (Invincible), and Eve. Soon they reach the spaceship, and Martians attack them. Eve saved everyone, and somehow they just dug in. But the Martians are too powerful for them. They need to run away, or else they are just going to die. Right now, I think all of them are alive. Rudy is going to blast his suit to stun all of them. Eve creates a shield to save everyone, but she won’t hold more. With it, the episode ends.

Lizard League Is on Fire

We all see in Season 2, Part 1, that Lizard League has the new king, and he is brutal. They attack armor. There are only three of them and a boss. One of them is just too big, one is fast, and one has fat reflexes. As I said before, Rex, Multi-Paul, and Shrinking Rae are the only Guardians on earth, so they go to stop them. Man, that fight is too good. I just love to see Multi-Paul in action; Shrinking Rae is amazing too; and lastly, Rex is the man with courage. First, Multi-Paul died in a brutal way with that big guy. Then, Shrinking Rae defatted one of them by going into his body.

Shrinking Rae’s death is the most awful death in Invincible Season 2, Episode 5. Imagine her attempting to expel him while that enormous creature is simply digesting him as if he were a chicken. Rex somehow defeated two of them and injured them almost to death. Then the King of the Lizard League came from behind and shot Rex.

Now, the question is: Are they really going to die? The answer for Multi-Paul and Shrinking Rae is yes, they died. But for Rex, he is going to be alive somehow. Believe me, I haven’t read the comic, so I don’t know for sure, but it’s just a hunch.

Mark is the key

The post-credit scene of Invincible Season 2 Episode 5 reveals the big character, I say, and also gives us a glimpse that something wild is going to happen. At the end of Invincible Season 2, Episode 4, we see Thaedus truncating the machine that keeps Allen alive. Now, in this episode, we see that Allen is alive and has become more powerful, at least by looks. then Thaedus and tell him that he took bait on his life. When he got off the machine, he thought that either Allen had died or had become more powerful to fight with Viltrumites.

Then he took off his beard and revealed his true face in front of Allen. He tells us that he is one of the Viltrumites. the first Viltrumite to rebel against his own community. and now, “MARK IS THE KEY” to stop this war. or stop the army of Viltrumites. from destroying the world.

Final Thoughts on Invincible Season 2, Episode 5

Invincible Season 2, Episode 5, is too good, with amazing animation and fights. It’s also too many things in just 45 minutes, but the deaths—I don’t expect this much. They are just too wild. Now, wait for next Thursday (March 21) for Episode 6. and don’t forget to check out my Episode 4 review.
